incredibly boring

the only reason the game receives 5 star ratings is because the description says theyll keep updating if you give them 5 stars (June 3rd 2010 - i wonder if theyll remove that line now that someone called them on their bribe)! DONT GET FOOLED! this is one of the most boring games on the App store, one of the most boring games ive played in my life.

the gorgeous graphics dont make up for how theres absolutelly NOTHING to the gameplay here. not even the biggest side-scroller fan can justify how terrible and repetitive the gameplay is. you walk and press a button. thats it. the attacks dont stun the enemies in different ways, they dont have different timing, they dont leave you or the enemy open for following attacks, theres no combos or stringing attacks in any significant way, you cant aim at multiple body parts to slow them down, you cant throw them over each other, and the guns are there just to LOOK different... you cant do ANYTHING in this game.

grab any game from the NES, SNES, Genesis or Master System era and itll whoop the floor with this game. even Last Battle/Hokuto no Ken for the Master System, which is one of the worst games of the genre, is miles above this. in that game you could at least stun opponents and had different timing in your moves.

the developers shouldve just made a running game like Action Hero, where you dont need variety. the way it is, Twin Blades is just boring and a complete waste of the artists ability. go play any free action game instead, itll be much better.
