Twin Blades app good for
This game is a little gem! It looks beautifull, its really fun, and bashing hordes of zombies with a gun and a scythe cant go wrong right?
On top of that its cheap! What are you waiting for ;)
I have over 30 games currently and none of them stack up to this one. The game play is addictive, upgrades are cool especially the different type of weapons you can purchase. For a dollar it beats the crap out of any $4-$10 game Ive ever played. So if you like side scrolling mayhem buy this... buy it now!
Graphics and controls are great but the gameplay is very linear and easy for the most part. For a buck cant go wrong but this game needs some new gameplay additions.
This app Is pretty good but could have used a little more options and stuff. One thing lacking is a introductory story setting what your doing...do that and its an easy 5 stars.
this app is great and the gameplay amd graphics are suprisingly good for a 2d game. my only problem is the main character is a nun?!? kinda awkward but she still kicks zombie behind
before the update, it was kind of lame just to kill zombies nut the story mode in the update has really made it fun. Also, this game has wonderful graphics.
Some bad moments
good graphics but : when you can beat the game by mashing ONE button it gets extremely boring....
the only reason the game receives 5 star ratings is because the description says theyll keep updating if you give them 5 stars (June 3rd 2010 - i wonder if theyll remove that line now that someone called them on their bribe)! DONT GET FOOLED! this is one of the most boring games on the App store, one of the most boring games ive played in my life.
the gorgeous graphics dont make up for how theres absolutelly NOTHING to the gameplay here. not even the biggest side-scroller fan can justify how terrible and repetitive the gameplay is. you walk and press a button. thats it. the attacks dont stun the enemies in different ways, they dont have different timing, they dont leave you or the enemy open for following attacks, theres no combos or stringing attacks in any significant way, you cant aim at multiple body parts to slow them down, you cant throw them over each other, and the guns are there just to LOOK different... you cant do ANYTHING in this game.
grab any game from the NES, SNES, Genesis or Master System era and itll whoop the floor with this game. even Last Battle/Hokuto no Ken for the Master System, which is one of the worst games of the genre, is miles above this. in that game you could at least stun opponents and had different timing in your moves.
the developers shouldve just made a running game like Action Hero, where you dont need variety. the way it is, Twin Blades is just boring and a complete waste of the artists ability. go play any free action game instead, itll be much better.
Update graphics and icon for iPhone 4 Retina Display. Retina Display Support makes old games seem like new game and draw in more sales.
Boring as hell, crappy animation...I guess they ran out of money after they finished the lush backgrounds..
I remember buying this game a while ago, when it was just survival, and I loved it. The story mode is very good, I must say, and I am very impressed. I do have two suggestions though, could you guys please make the joystick bigger? Also, could you make a theatre mode where you can review character files (main characters and Zombie types, including BOSSES) and previously seen tips (the ones you see on the loading screens)
EDIT: The lack of game updates for this amazing game kind of ruined my experience. I finally completed the story mode and it kind of left me hanging. A suggestion might be an alternate unlockable story mode that tells the story of Sister Angelicas friend (cant recall her name) and her experiences during the zombie invasion, and what happened to her after the main story is finished (I dont want to ruin the story for anyone)
UDATE: Game crashes upon starting. Totally unplayable.
